Information boards with Braille in museum, open-air museum, park, monuments
It is no longer only the permanent exhibition in museums, but also temporary exhibitions that are becoming adapted for visitors with with visual impairments. Constantly developing museum facilities are preparing special tools to allow people with diverse needs to establish a fuller contact with art. These can be found in exhibitions of works by the most prominent artists around the world.
They allow you to "see" in your imagination what the eye cannot see. The tylographs are most often supplemented by audiodescription available on audio guides, which can be found at museum ticket offices. Museums seeking to expand their service for the visually impaired present content about exhibits on tyflographic boards.
The main advantages of using the tiflographic boards in the museum
- enriching the museum's offerings by presenting exhibits in descriptive and graphic form for people with visual impairments
- bringing the museum's facility into compliance with the Declaration of Accessibility - Law of July 19, 2019.
- providing a plan of the building with the layout of the rooms in the form of a tiflographic map to facilitate movement around the facility
- presentation in the form of relief graphics of objects at different scales starting from small exhibits, through photographs and graphics, ending with on buildings - their facades, details and massing
- a unique feature of the boards we produce is the simultaneous presentation of photos, under which we apply reliefs that mark the characteristic elements of a given graphic, as well as texts in Braille
The most interesting realizations made by Touch Print (Dotknij Druk)
- a series of large outdoor boards presenting sketches of historic Orthodox churches of the Podkarpackie region (relief images and text in Braille placed under the standard graphics)
- a series of plaques for the Orava Ethnological Park, representing museum exhibits such as an anvil, sculptures, macatas, fabric patterns, as well as buildings and many others
- plaques with objects in graphic and descriptive form for the Museum in Stalowa Wola (Poland)
- convex exhibition tour maps at the Museum of Łódź (Poland)
